Gaasserockbluesband was founded following an announcement in Luxbazar which read: « bass player is looking for a bluesband ».

A trio composed of Pascal Graffé Mäx Courtois and Fränk Henkes started to meet once a week to play Blues. More and more Blues Rock was gradually incorporated to the sound of the band as well as Luxembourgish songs drawn from Fränk’s quill.

The initial gigs were performed as a trio. During a show at the Liquid Bar in the Grund the band invited Régis Rolando-Eugio to play along and from that moment onwards we were now a quartet. Nicolas Wise took the spot behind the shooting range to replace Pascal.

It was with Fenny Gillen who we knew from Dali’s Dream that the band’s long-awaited wish was fulfilled of having a pianist and hammond player on stage. 

And as Neil Young put it so adamantly: Rock and Roll will never die. In our case combined with a blended flavour of Blues
